I made a few paintings based on this image, large and small, and over a period of years, shown/sold in LA and Tokyo. I think this was sold in Los Angeles, and the first of the series.
This image is based on the "Asian guy" (me) in Revenge of the Nerds who has to carry all the jock straps.
I believe this series was referenced by Noah Davis in his painting The Last Barbecue, 2008. He was coming around to my studio over the same time period these paintings would have been up.
